AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1650

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1650 by replacing
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4    "Section 5. The Fish and Aquatic Life Code is amended by
5changing Section 15-15 and by adding Section 15-155 as follows:
 
6    (515 ILCS 5/15-15)  (from Ch. 56, par. 15-15)
7    Sec. 15-15. Commercial fishing devices. "Commercial
8fishing devices" for the purposes of this Code are defined as
9follows: buoyed gangings, set gangings, bank pole and line,
10throw line or trot line having more than 50 hooks, seine,
11pocket seine, otter trawl, dip net, throw net, gill net,
12trammel net, basket trap, hoop net, wing net, pound net, trap
13net, any watercraft used as a primary collection device, and
14any and all other devices considered as commercial devices by
15the Department when used in the taking of any aquatic life,
16except mussels, protected by the terms of this Code.

3    Sec. 15-155. Watercraft used as a primary collection device
4for commercial fishes. Any persons licensed as a commercial
5fisherman who wishes to use their watercraft as a primary
6collection device for commercial fishes must first obtain a
7commercial watercraft device tag. All watercraft used as a
8primary collection device must be legally licensed by the State
9and be in compliance with all Coast Guard boating
10regulations.".
