SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply
3saddened to learn of the death of Jo Ann Cannedy of
4Carlinville, who passed away on November 19, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jo Ann Cannedy was born on May 29, 1929, in
6Pasadena, California, to Helen Bixby Bilbruck; she married Dale
7Cannedy on September 13, 1947; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Jo Ann Cannedy was an antique dealer, election
9judge, and census taker for many years; she was a master
10gardner, avid collector of junque, a member of the Macoupin
11County Military Antique Tractor Club, the Crimson Chapeau Red
12Hat Society, and former Girl Scout leader; she enjoyed sewing,
13quilting, flower gardening, and attending auctions and yard
14sales; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jo Ann Cannedy was preceded in death by her
16mother, Helen Bixby Bilbruck; her sister, Helen Victoria
17Bilbruck; and her brothers, George, Bill, Jack, and Donnie
18Bilbruck; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Jo Ann Cannedy is survived by her husband, Dale;
20her daughters, Betty Jo Noll, Becky Lowrance, and Melinda
21(Kerry) Huff; her grandchildren, Milena (Lucas) Crum, Meghan

1Lowrance, and Ryan Long; her great-granddaughter, Abella Long;
2her 2 step-grandchildren; her sister, Marjorie Thomason; and
3her brother, Bob Bilbruck; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Jo Ann Cannedy, and we extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Jo Ann Cannedy as a symbol of our
11deepest sympathy.
