SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply
3saddened to learn of the death of Janet M. Cesar of Waukegan,
4who passed away on September 22, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Janet Cesar grew up in Chicago and attended St.
6Priscilla School and Notre Dame High School for Girls; she
7received a bachelors of science in international business and
8language at St. Norbert College, where she met her husband,
9Bob; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Janet Cesar began her career as a business woman,
11before finding her true passion, teaching children; she earned
12a master's degree in teaching from National Lewis University
13and became a teacher at Greenwood Elementary School for 18
14years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Janet Cesar was active in the community as a CCD
16teacher, Girl Scout leader, school board member, and
17Eucharistic minister at St. Anastasia Parish; she volunteered
18her talents for many years in the Waukegan Room at Carmel
19Catholic High School Street Scenes; she spent the last few
20summers at her cabin in upper Michigan, where she enjoyed
21kayaking, fishing, and making many new friends; and

1    WHEREAS, Janet Cesar is survived by her husband of 35
2years, Bob; her children, Jessica and Daniel; her sisters,
3Kathryn Calabrese (Anthony) and Mary Nyland; her brothers, John
4Gastaldello and Ray Gastaldello; and numerous and much-loved
5aunts, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews,
6cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Janet Cesar, and we extend our sincere condolences to her
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Janet Cesar as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
