SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply
3saddened to learn of the death of Dale Ontis of Alton, who
4passed away on September 17, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dale Ontis was born in Alton, on March 1, 1932, to
6Charles "Tommy" and Lottie (Hessenauer); he married C. Jo Anne
7(Schenk) at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Alton on June 20,
81953; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Dale Ontis worked at Albrecht Hamlin Chevrolet as
10an auto body tech for 40 years; he retired in 1993; he was a
11member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Dale Ontis enjoyed woodworking and making
13furniture, doing bodywork on the side, working on cars, and
14spending time with his family and friends; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Dale Ontis was preceded in death by his parents,
16Charles and Lottie Ontis; his brother, John Ontis; his sisters,
17Patsy (Pete) Monroe and Mary Ann Cochran; his in-laws, Henry
18and Anna (Fluck) Schenk; and his brothers-in-law, Ronald and
19Jay Schenk; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Dale Ontis is survived by his wife, C. Jo Anne;

1his children, Terry D. Ontis, Tim E. Ontis, Diane Varble, Tom
2D. (Regina) Ontis, Tony J. Ontis, Todd M. Ontis, and Tricia J.
3(Steve) Dawson; his grandchildren, Christopher Ontis, Nicholas
4Ontis, Travis Varble, Tone Stewart, Kyle Ontis, Emily Ontis,
5Henry Dawson, and Max Ontis; his great-grandchildren, Trenton,
6Conner, Rylee, Kaylee, Tyler, Paige, Caden, Gavin, Kida,
7Wesley, Josie, and Jacob; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert
8and Della Ontis; his nephews and nieces; and friends, Bill and
9Bonnie, Harris; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Dale Ontis, and we extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That as suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Dale Ontis as an expression of our
17sincere condolences.
