SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply
3saddened to learn of the death of Jackie L. LaPayne of Wyoming,
4who died on August 7, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jackie LaPayne was born in Peoria to Cleo B. and
6Alice E. Jackson LaPayne on June 7, 1941; he married Connie
7Asbell in Wyoming on November 11, 1966; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Jackie LaPayne worked as a welder for Larson
9Manufacturing in Princeville, Kress in Brimfield, and
10Caterpillar in Peoria; he retired in 2003; he served as an
11alderman in Wyoming for several years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jackie LaPayne was a member of Wyoming Lodge 479
13Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, Alta Lodge 748 AF & AM, and was
14an honorary member of Princeville Lodge 360 AF & AM; he was a
15member of Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Peoria, Order of the
16Eastern Star, and Stark Congregational Church; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Jackie LaPayne was preceded in death by his wife,
18Connie; his brother, Rex LaPayne; and his sisters, C. Eileen K.
19Daughtery and Joyce Camp; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Jackie LaPayne is survived by his son, Rex

1LaPayne; his daughters, Colleen (Jim) Pearson and Sherry (Roy
2Van Meter) LaPayne; and his grandchildren, Eryn, Nicholas,
3Katelyn, Alexander, Evan, and Rylie; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Jackie LaPayne, and we extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Jackie LaPayne an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
