SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Laverne J. Watson of Brighton, who passed
4away on June 15, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Laverne Watson was born on February 3, 1918, in
6Fidelity; he was the son of James and Lottie (Tucker) Watson;
7he married Arlene (Heyen) Watson on February 20, 1937, in
8Jerseyville; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Laverne Watson was a farmer for many years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Laverne Watson was preceded in death by his wife;
11his parents; his sisters, Verle Sullivan, Verna Marshall, Vera
12Bock, and Eveyln Dwyer; and his brothers, Earl Watson, Melvin
13Watson, Paul Watson, Alfred Watson, and Charles Raymond Watson;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, Laverne Watson is survived by his son and
16daughter-in-law, Robert (Julia) Watson; his grandchildren,
17Dale Watson, Jeff (Amy) Watson, Linda (Sean) Patterson, and
18Jennifer (Chris) Watson-Gushleff; his great-grandchildren,
19Shaun Watson, Korin Fisher, Joel Watson, Joseph Watson,
20Johnanthan Watson, Laura Watson, Seth Patterson, Sasha
21Patterson, Kevin Patterson, and Melinda Patterson; his sisters

1and brothers-in-law, Christina and Kenneth Maxiener and Alta
2Fay and Bob Tuetken; and his brother-in-law, Gerald (Shirley)
3Heyen; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
6his family and friends, the passing of Laverne J. Watson; and
7be it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Laverne Watson as an expression of
10our sympathy.
