SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Thelma L. Johnson of Bella Vista,
4Arkansas, formerly of Fulton County and Danville, who passed
5away on February 9, 2012; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Thelma Johnson was born on July 27, 1924, in
7Williamson County; she was the daughter of Willard R. and Ella
8K. (Ray) Somers; she married William F. Johnson on March 6,
91943; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Thelma Johnson was employed as a real estate and
11insurance agent; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Thelma Johnson was a member of St. James United
13Methodist Church in Danville and its Women's Club, as well as
14the Christian Women's Club; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Thelma Johnson was preceded in death by her
16husband; her parents; her son, Randle Ray Johnson; and her
17sister, Alveria Ray Carmichael; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Thelma Johnson is survived by her son, Montey
19(Barb) Johnson; her daughters, Marsha (Kent) Matayo and Kathie
20(Mike) Erwin; her grandchildren, Jo Ellen Johnson, Andrewe

5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
7her family and friends, the passing of Thelma L. Johnson; and
8be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Thelma Johnson as an expression of
11our sympathy.
