SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mother Ida B. Clayborn of Blytheville,
4Arkansas, who passed away on January 4, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born December 11, 1923 in Brookfield,
6Mississippi to Albert Patton and Pearl Former Patton; she was
7saved and baptized at Nehemiah Temple Church of God in Christ
8and was a faithful member; and
 
9    WHEREAS, She was a caring and giving woman, kind to her
10pastor and the Chester Caldwell family; and
 
11    WHEREAS, She was an excellent cook and was known for her
12joy and laughter; and
 
13    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her
14husband, Gus Clayborn; and her siblings, Clara Mae Key, O.C.
15Patton, Christola Patton, Albert Patton Jr., W.C. Toliver, A.D.
16Patton Sr., Joe Patton, Freddie B. Patton, and Winnie Bell
17Strong; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Mother Ida B. Clayborn is survived by her sister,
19Juanita (Granville) Love; her brother, R.D. (Mary) Patton; and
20her nieces, nephews, and other relatives; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
3her family and friends, the passing of Mother Ida B. Clayborn;
4and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Mother Ida B. Clayborn as a symbol
7of our sincere sympathy.
