SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ruth Ann Phipps, who passed away on
4January 23, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ruth Ann Phipps was born on Sept. 3, 1943, in
6Alton; she was the daughter of Stephen G. and Lorraine L.
7(Funk) Droege; she married William Phipps on April 4, 1964, at
8SS. Peter and Paul Church; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ruth Ann Phipps was a member of St. Mary's
10Catholic Church in Alton; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Ruth Ann Phipps enjoyed gardening, flowers, and
12spending time with her family; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Ruth Ann Phipps was preceded in death by her
14parents; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Ruth Ann Phipps is survived by her husband,
16William; her children, Annette Heinemann, Brian Phipps,
17Matthew Phipps, Samuel Phipps, and Mary and Ken Bower; her
18grandchildren, Joseph, Jeremy, Andrew, Katlyn, Nate,
19Elizabeth, Joseph, and Claire; her sisters, Jeanette Sagez and
20Elaine Pilka; her brother, David Droege; and her many nieces

1and nephews; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
4her family and friends, the passing of Ruth Ann Phipps; and be
5it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Ruth Ann Phipps as an expression of
8our sympathy.
