SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ra'sul Lee "Rocky" Clark, who passed away
4on January 5, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rocky Clark was born on January 17, 1984, in
6Harvey; his parents were Annette B. Clark and Booker T. Martin;
7with the encouragement of his mother, he developed a life-long
8relationship with the Lord at an early age; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Rocky Clark received his early education at
10Robbins School District 143 1/2; he later graduated from Dwight
11D. Eisenhower High School and attended South Suburban Community
12College in South Holland; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Rocky Clark was a co-founder of the Grid Iron
14Alliance; at the time of his passing, he was attempting to get
15the Rocky Clark Bill, a health care initiative, passed; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Rocky Clark enjoyed sports, pit bulls, writing
17poems, and drawing pictures; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Rocky Clark was preceded in death by his
19grandmother, Marlene Clark; his grandfather, Booker T. Martin
20Sr.; his aunt, Cheryl Bobbett; his uncle, Roscoe Clark; and his

1beloved pit bull, Menace; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Rocky Clark is survived by his mother, Annette
3(Darryl) Hardy Sr.; his father, Booker T. Martin II; his
4grandfather, Henry (Gestallie) Clark Sr.; his loving sisters,
5Dynetta, Arnetta (Brian), and Arnetta Martin; his loving
6brothers, Booker T. Martin III and Corray; his nephews,
7Marcellous, Marquise, DeAndre, Brian Jr., and Da'Shawn; his
8nieces, Ashley, Ashanti, Monteana, and Savannah; his uncles,
9Ronald, Henry Jr. (Jolinda), Dane, Bernard (Ann), Mark (Anita),
10Ray (Gloria), Howard (Chreyl), Micheal (Lokie), and Edward; his
11aunts, Gloria, Essie, and Arnetta Jordan; his special friends,
12Andrea and Karita; his best friends, Joshua, Antonio, and
13Natosha; his caretakers, Latoya and Paris; and his many
14cousins, friends, and other family members; therefore, be it
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
16ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
17his family and friends, the passing of Ra'sul Lee "Rocky"
18Clark; and be it further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Rocky Clark as an expression of our
21sympathy.
