SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Bruna Bernice Facker of Metamora, who
4passed away on December 12, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born on July 6, 1921, in Schram City, the
6daughter of Gaspero and Annunziata Ghelardini; she married
7Robert L. Facker Sr. on June 16, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, She was a former member of the Elks of Peoria and
10current member of the Neighborhood House Tuesday Club and a
11loyal member of the Italian-American Society of Peoria; during
12World War II, she worked in the U.S. Government's office of
13Price Administration; she later served as a bookkeeper for E.W.
14Blair Co., in Brooklyn, New York, the Peoria County Health
15Department, and Cummings & Emerson in Peoria; and
 
16    WHEREAS, She was a devoted wife, cherished mother,
17treasured grandmother and great-grandmother, precious sister,
18honored aunt, and unforgettable friend; she was a member of St.
19Mary's Church in Metamora; and
 
20    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her
21husband; her sister, Mary Montel; and her brothers, Bruno

1Ghelardini and Ivo Ghelardini; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Bruna Facker is survived by her sons, Robert
3(Kathleen) Facker Jr. and Dave (Kathy) Facker; her
4grandchildren, Robert J. (Kassidy) Facker, Angela (Doug)
5Fandel, Carlie Facker, Jessica (Alex) Etheridge, and Tyler
6Facker; her great-grandchildren, Cooper and Krue; and many
7nieces, nephews, and numerous friends; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10her family and friends, the passing of Bruna Facker; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Bruna Facker as a symbol of our
14sincere sympathy.
