SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert I. Knobbe, who passed away on
4November 2, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Knobbe was born on December 31, 1945, in
6Florissant, Missouri; his parents were Ambrose B. and Emily
7(Wiese) Knobbe; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Robert Knobbe proudly served his country in the
9United States Army from 1966 until 1968; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Robert Knobbe was the owner and operator of
11Waldbart and Sons Nursery for over 42 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Robert Knobbe was a member of the Alton Eagles
13Lodge 254 and a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus
14Duchesne Council 2951; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Robert Knobbe enjoyed fishing, taking care of his
16horses, and spending time with his family; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Robert Knobbe was preceded in death by his
18parents; his mother-in-law, June Helbling; his brother and
19sister-in-law, Ambrose "Brosie" and Joan Knobbe; his

1brother-in-law, John Ebner; and his sister-in-law, Marleen
2Knobbe; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Robert Knobbe is survived by his beloved wife,
4Margaret Ann (Helbling) Knobbe; his sons, Richard and Cheryl
5Knobbe and Christopher and Robin Knobbe; his daughter, Brenda
6and Russ Luetkemeyer; his sisters, Sr. Patricia Knobbe, Linda
7Knobbe, Diane (Knobbe) Coughlin and Tim Coughlin, and Jane
8(Knobbe) Ebner; his brother, David Knobbe; his brother-in-law
9and sister-in-law, Jeff and Michele Helbling and Mark and Donna
10Helbling; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patricia and
11Tom Davis; his father-in-law, William Helbling; his
12grandchildren, Kelli, Kevin, Kylie, Andrew, Katie, and Addison
13Knobbe, and Amanda and Jessica Luetkemeyer; and his many aunts,
14uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends;
15therefore, be it
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
18his family and friends, the passing of Robert I. Knobbe; and be
19it further
 
20    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21presented to the family of Robert Knobbe as an expression of
22our sympathy.
