SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of J.D. Walker of Chicago, who passed away
4on September 19, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born on October 16, 1935 to the late Jerry
6and Rose Walker in Columbus, Mississippi; and
 
7    WHEREAS, In 1969, he married Lucille Miller; he worked for
8Bonton Meat Factory from 1982 to 1990; he later worked for G&M
9Brick Mason until his retirement; and
 
10    WHEREAS, He was a 15 year cancer survivor; and
 
11    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his mother and father;
12his son, Lyndell; his sisters, Zola, Marie, and Dorothy; and
13his brothers, James and Williams; and
 
14    WHEREAS, J.D. Walker is survived by his wife, Lucille; his
15daughters, Bridget, Sheila, Gloria, and Florence; his sons,
16Robert, Glen, Johnnie, and Dean; his 13 grandchildren; his one
17great-grandchild; his brother; and a host of nieces, nephews,
18other relatives, and friends; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
2his family and friends, the passing of J.D. Walker; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

6sincere sympathy.
