SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Charlette Sue Hancock of Kingston Mines,
4who passed away on June 4, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Charlette Hancock was born on November 23, 1949,
6in Peoria; her parents were Charles Howard Sr. and Donna D.
7(Walberg) Schempf; she married Charles V. Hancock in Kingston
8Mines on March 12, 1977; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Charlette Hancock served as the mayor of Kingston
10Mines for 10 years; she also worked as the Timber Township tax
11collector for over 20 years and as an administrative assistant
12for the Hinshaw-Culbertson Law Firm in Peoria; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Charlette Hancock was an active member of Ducks
14Unlimited; she enjoyed spending time with her family; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Charlette Hancock was preceded in death by her
16parents and her brother, Ed; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Charlette Hancock is survived by her husband; her
18daughter, Angie (Paul) Florey Stevenson; her grandchildren,
19Aaron, Destiny, Lauren, and Nick; his sister, Paulette (Gary)
20Hand; and her brother, Charlie (Lisa) Schempf Jr.; therefore,

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
4her family and friends, the passing of Charlette Sue Hancock;
5and be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Charlette Hancock as an expression
8of our sympathy.
