AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3823

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3823 on page 1,
3line 6, after "7-706,", by inserting "7-707,"; and
 
4on page 17, immediately below line 21, by inserting the
5following:
 
6    "(625 ILCS 5/7-707)
7    Sec. 7-707. Payment of reinstatement fee. When a person
8receives notice from the Secretary of State that the suspension
9of driving privileges has been terminated based upon (i)
10receipt of notification from the circuit clerk of the person's
11compliance as obligor with a court order of support, or (ii)
12receipt of notification from the Illinois Department of
13Healthcare and Family Services that the person whose driving
14privileges were terminated has paid the delinquency in full or
15has arranged for payment of the delinquency and the current
16support obligation in a manner satisfactory to the Department

1(in a case in which the person's driving privileges were
2suspended upon a certification by the Department under
3subsection (c) of Section 7-702), or (iii) receipt of
4notification from the circuit clerk of the person's compliance
5with a court order concerning visitation, the driver obligor
6shall pay a $70 reinstatement fee to the Secretary of State as
7set forth in Section 6-118 of this Code. $30 of the $70 fee
8shall be deposited into the Family Responsibility Fund. In
9accordance with subsection (e) of Section 6-115 of this Code,
10the Secretary of State may decline to process a renewal of a
11driver's license of a person who has not paid this fee.
