HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Jack T.
4Nolen of Harrisburg, who passed away on June 27, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born on September 25, 1935, in Harrisburg
6to the late Kenneth "K.C." and Charlotte Sarah (Smith) Nolen.;
7on June 28, 1980, he married Polly Moore; and
 
8    WHEREAS, He was retired from the Illinois State Police
9Division of Criminal Investigation; he was a patient advocate
10at Primary Care and an investigator for the Saline County
11State's Attorney's office; he was a member of Jolly Boys,
12Second Team, a past member of the Harrisburg Booster Club, and
13the Rotary Club; and
 
14    WHEREAS, He received 3 Red Cross Life Savings Awards during
15his ISP career and coached Khoury League baseball for 9 years;
16he was a former circuit clerk of Saline County for 10 years; he
17was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan; he was a member of
18McKinley Avenue Baptist Church and an United States Army
19veteran; and
 
20    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents and his
21sister, Judy Vinyard; and

1    WHEREAS, Jack Nolen is survived by his wife, Polly Nolen;
2his sons, Jack Jr. (Lori) Nolen and Jeff Nolen; his brother,
3Kenneth (Sylvia) Nolen; his sisters, Lynda (George) Henley and
4Joy Ann (Bill) Pyle; his grandchildren, Amanda West, Jennifer
5(Mike) Quertermous, Mallory Nolen Jarrett, Tiffany Nolen, and
6Jackson Nolen; and his great-grandchildren, Baleigh, Nolen,
7Bayden, Caden, Tommy, Brooklyn, Gavin, and Gunner; therefore,
8be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
10NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
11we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of
12Jack Nolen; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Jack Nolen as a symbol of our
15sincere sympathy.
