SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
5 ILCS 335/2  from Ch. 127, par. 4052
50 ILCS 122/10

    Amends the Disaster Service Volunteer Leave Act and the Local Government Disaster Service Volunteer Act. Provides that "disaster" includes any disaster declared by proclamation of the Governor under a specific provision of the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning government.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Disaster Service Volunteer Leave Act is
5amended by changing Section 2 as follows:
 
6    (5 ILCS 335/2)  (from Ch. 127, par. 4052)
7    Sec. 2. Definitions. As used in this Act:
8    "State agency" includes all departments, officers,
9commissions, boards, institutions and bodies politic and
10corporate of the State, including the offices of Clerk of the
11Supreme Court and Clerks of the Appellate Courts, the several
12courts of the State and the legislature, its committees or
13commissions.
14    "Disaster" includes (i) disasters designated at Level III
15and above in the American National Red Cross Regulations and
16Procedures and (ii) any disaster declared by proclamation of
17the Governor under Section 7 of the Illinois Emergency
18Management Agency Act.

20    Section 10. The Local Government Disaster Service

3    "Local agency" includes all departments, officers,
4commissions, boards, institutions, and bodies politic and
5corporate of local governments as defined in the Counties Code,
6Township Code, and Illinois Municipal Code.
7    "Disaster" includes (i) disasters designated at Level III
8and above in the American National Red Cross Regulations and
9Procedures and (ii) any disaster declared by a proclamation of
10the Governor under Section 7 of the Illinois Emergency
11Management Agency Act.

13    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
