SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Marjorie A. Bailey of Columbia, who
4 passed away on July 14, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Margie Bailey was born on January 14, 1931 in East
6 St. Louis; her parents were Richard and Regina Powell; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Margie Bailey was a member of the Ancient Order of
8 Hibernians, the Ladies Knights of Columbus, and the Caseyville
9 Democratic Club; she was also a member of the Holy Trinity
10 Catholic Church in Fairview Heights; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Margie Bailey was preceded in death by her
12 husband, Donald J. Bailey; her daughter in infancy, Regina
13 Bailey; her son-in-law, Steve Kohlberg; her parents; her uncle
14 and aunt, Henry and Grace McStay; her sister, Betty Donovan;
15 her brother in infancy, Richard Powell; and her brothers-in-law
16 and sisters-in-law, William "Bud" Bailey, George (Joy) Bailey,
17 Robert Bailey, Al (Mary "Libby") Laskowski, Catherine "Sissy"
18 Lawson, Jack and Margaret Drennen, Bill Ring, Sorkis Webbe,
19 Sr., and Michael Donovan, Sr.; and
 
20     WHEREAS, Margie Bailey is survived by her children, Donna
21 Kohlberg, Charles "Totsie" (Linda) Bailey, Mary Millas, and

1 Jane Bailey; her grandchildren, Steven (Jenny) Kohlberg, Kyle
2 (Julie) Kohlberg, Elizabeth (Jason) Kohlberg-Shubirg,
3 Michalene Millas, Theodore (Beth) Millas, William "Billy"
4 Millas, Donnie (Becca) Millas, Charlie (Mary) Bailey, and
5 Christopher and Sarah Bailey; her great-grandchildren,
6 Khalysta Bettorf, Drake Bettorf, Austin Millas, Theo J. Millas,
7 Macey Millas, James Dylan Kohlberg, Mackenzie Kohlberg,
8 Brandon Shubirg, Alana Bailey, Karlee, Kassidy Bailey, and
9 Benjamin; her sisters, Mary Jean Ring, and Patricia Webbe; her
10 brother-in-law, Al Lawson; her sister-in-law, Ann Bailey; her
11 special friends, Betty Martz, John Wilson, Charlotte and Jim
12 Threkeld, and Paul Brummer; and her several nieces and nephews;
13 therefore, be it
 
14     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
15 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
16 his family and friends, the passing of Marjorie A. Bailey; and
17 be it further
 
18     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19 presented to the family of Margie Bailey as an expression of
20 our sympathy.
