SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of James E. Dolan of Libertyville, who
4 passed away on July 5, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, James E. Dolan was born May 29, 1921 in Wilmette
6 and had been a Libertyville resident for the past 53 years; he
7 was a 1940 graduate of the Quigley Prepatory Seminary in
8 Chicago and became a very active member of the Libertyville
9 community; and
 
10     WHEREAS, He was the manager of Chandler's Stationers, an
11 office supply store; he was a member and past president of the
12 Libertyville Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Lions Club,
13 the First Presbyterian Church, and was elected to the Senior
14 Hall of Fame; and
 
15     WHEREAS, He was active with the Libertyville Little League
16 and he was a Condell Hospital volunteer for many years; he was
17 Secretary of the Northwest Suburban Bowling Proprietors and was
18 an original organizer of Frontier Days, now Libertyville Days;
19 he was a proud Senior Health Insurance Preparer (SHIP)
20 volunteer helping people at Condell Hospital; he was a
21 Libertyville Township trustee in the early 1980s; and he was
22 elected to the Lake County Board for 8 years; and

1     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and
2 Anna Dolan; and by his wife, Marjorie "Peppy" Dolan; and
 
3     WHEREAS, James Dolan is survived by his children, Kathleen
4 (David) Rubenstein, Michael (Suzanne) Dolan, and Robert Dolan;
5 his grandchildren, Kara (Tim) Edgeworth, Kevin, Ryan (Maureen)
6 Rubenstein, Andrew (Crystal) Rubenstein, Rebecca, Christine
7 (Jonathan) Kennedy, Michael, Erin, Meaghan, and Matthew; his
8 great-grandchildren, Connor, Logan, Dylan, and Camilla; and
9 his sister, Peggy Kramer; therefore, be it
 
10     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
11 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
12 his family and friends, the passing of James E. Dolan; and be
13 it further
 
14     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15 presented to the family of James E. Dolan as a symbol of our
16 sincere sympathy.
