SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
30 ILCS 105/9a-5 new

    Amends the State Finance Act. Provides that no merit compensation employee paid for personal services from any line item appropriation available for that purpose may be required to take any more unpaid furlough days than employees subject to a collective bargaining agreement who are employed by the same State agency, as that term is defined in the Illinois State Auditing Act. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning finance.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by adding
5 Section 9a-5 as follows:
 
6     (30 ILCS 105/9a-5 new)
7     Sec. 9a-5. Merit compensation employees; limitation on
8 furlough days. No merit compensation employee paid for personal
9 services from any line item appropriation available for that
10 purpose may be required to take any more unpaid furlough days
11 than employees subject to a collective bargaining agreement who
12 are employed by the same State agency, as that term is defined
13 in the Illinois State Auditing Act.
 
14     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
15 becoming law.
