SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
515 ILCS 5/10-110   from Ch. 56, par. 10-110

    Amends the Fish and Aquatic Life Code. Authorizes persons to take shad and drum by means of a pitchfork, underwater spear gun, bow and arrow device, spear, or gig. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning fish.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Fish and Aquatic Life Code is amended by
5 changing Section 10-110 as follows:
 
6     (515 ILCS 5/10-110)  (from Ch. 56, par. 10-110)
7     Sec. 10-110. Taking carp, buffalo, suckers, gar, and
8 bowfin, shad, and drum. Carp, buffalo, suckers, gar, and
9 bowfin, shad, and drum may be taken by means of a pitchfork,
10 underwater spear gun, bow and arrow or bow and arrow device,
11 spear, or gig. Each person taking fish by these means shall
12 possess a valid sport fishing license. Fish taken by these
13 means shall not be sold or bartered. No other fish may be taken
14 in this State by these means.

16     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
17 becoming law.
