    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Gender-Neutral Statutes Commission Act is

amended by changing Section 10 as follows:

    Sec. 10. Duties; report.

    (a) The
The Gender-Neutral Statutes Commission shall

consult with the
Legislative Reference Bureau and other 
10
interested parties on the fiscal
impact and other consequences 
11
of undertaking a comprehensive effort to
make the Illinois 
12
Compiled Statutes gender neutral.
13
    (b) The Gender-Neutral Statutes Commission shall report 
14
its findings
to the General Assembly by January 15, 2004.
