HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Craig
4 Phillips of Aurora, who passed away on January 31, 2010; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Craig Phillips was born on January 29, 1922 in
6 Evanston; he was the son of the late John Noble and Elizabeth
7 (Gordon) Phillips; he married Estelle Richmond on May 7, 1955;
8 and
 
9     WHEREAS, Craig Phillips was a graduate of Evanston Township
10 High School; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Craig Phillips served his country with pride and
12 distinction as a member of the United States Army Air Force
13 from 1943 to 1946 in Manila, Philippines; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Craig Phillips retired from Barber-Greene Company
15 in 1994 as a corporate personnel manager; and
 
16     WHEREAS, Craig Phillips and his wife dedicated their lives
17 to Christ and taught Sunday school at Central Bible Church and
18 Orchard Valley Baptist Church in Aurora; Mr. Phillips spent his
19 retirement years volunteering at the Wayside Cross Rescue
20 Mission in Aurora, where he taught the "Master's Touch" series

1 6 days a week; he was also an active member of The Gideon's
2 International Organization; and
 
3     WHEREAS, Craig Phillips was preceded in death by his wife,
4 Estelle; his brother, Gordon Phillips; and his sisters,
5 Marjorie Lochridge and Nancy Chandler; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Craig Phillips is survived by his daughter, Diane
7 (Tom) Kleinfeldt; his grandchildren, Kimberly (Kleinfeldt)
8 Durbin and Rev. Thomas M. (Kathy) Kleinfeldt; his
9 great-grandchildren, Spc. Bethany (Spc. Jason) LaRossa, Spc.
10 David (Christine) Durbin, Bryan Kleinfeldt, Jonathan (Anne)
11 Kleinfeldt, and Jordan Ferrell; his great-great-grandchildren,
12 Sydney and Jayson Long, Leila Kleinfeldt, Dominic and Adrianna
13 LaRossa, Daniel Durbin, and Madison Fore; his brother, John
14 Noble (Mary) Phillips; and his many nieces and nephews,
15 including his special niece, Ellen Frohnmeyer, and his special
16 nephew, Craig Phillips; therefore, be it
 
17     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
19 mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Craig
20 Phillips; and be it further
 
21     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to the family of Craig Phillips as an expression of
