HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Bishop J.E. Moore,
4 pastor of Christ Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith in
5 Joliet, on being named the Presiding Bishop of the Pentecostal
6 Churches of the Apostolic Faith Association, Inc; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Bishop Moore has served the Joliet community for
8 over 40 years and his church has served as the host site for
9 the annual Joliet Gospel Fest for many years; and
 
10     WHEREAS, As a community leader, he served the Joliet area
11 as a board member for Big Brothers, as a board member for the
12 YMCA, as an Advisory Board Member for Joliet School District
13 86, and as an Advisory Board member for Will County; and
 
14     WHEREAS, He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from
15 Berean Christian College, a Bachelor of Arts degree from
16 Governor State University, a Masters of Arts degree from Moody
17 Bible Institute, a Masters of Theology from Trinity Theological
18 Seminary, a Ph.D. from the International Seminary, and a Doctor
19 of Ministry degree from the American Seminary; and
 
20     WHEREAS, Bishop Moore was ordained with ministerial
21 (Elder) credentials in July of 1967; he was appointed to

1 District Elder in March of 1973; he was appropriated as Bishop
2 in March of 1994; he was nominated Elective Assistant Presiding
3 Bishop of the International Pentecostal Churches of the
4 Apostolic Faith, then appropriated in July of 2000; and he was
5 named Elective Presiding Prelate of the International
6 Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith Association, Inc.
7 and appropriated in July of 2008; and
 
8     WHEREAS, He and his lovely wife, Tecola, are the parents of
9 five beautiful children: Jayme Lynn, Gregory Wayne, who is
10 married to Tracy, Robin, James Edger Anthony, who is married to
11 Ira, and Edyth Colleen, who is married to Melvin Campbell; they
12 are the proud grandparents of seven grandchildren: Jay, James
13 Jr., Christian, Christopher, Melvin, Jeremiah, Tecola
14 Climmieteen, and Jariah; therefore, be it
 
15     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
16 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
17 congratulate Bishop Moore on this honor and wish him continued
18 success in the future; and be it further
 
19     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20 presented to Bishop J.E. Moore as a symbol of our respect.
