SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

Makes FY10 appropriations to the State Comptroller for expenses related to public official salaries.  The sum of $19,767,000 is appropriated for State’s Attorney and Public Defender salaries.  The sum of $14,067,000 is appropriated for the State’s share of State’s Attorney salaries and $5,700,000 for the State’s share of Public Defender salaries. Effective July 1, 2010.

$COMPTROLLER-COURT REPORTING

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5.  The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Office of the State Comptroller for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2011:

GOVERNMENT SERVICES

PAYABLE FROM GENERAL REVENUE FUND:

For the State’s share of State’s

  Attorneys’ and Assistant State’s

  Attorneys’ salaries, including

  prior year costs............................. $14,067,000

For the State’s share of county

  Public Defenders’ salaries pursuant

  to 55 ILCS 5/3-4007............................ 5,700,000

Total                                             $19,767,000

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2010.
