SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Emily Elizabeth Kahl of Carlinville, who
4 passed away on March 12, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born March 4, 1914, in Polk Township, the
6 daughter of Raymond and Elenora Davis Hampton; she married
7 Ralph Joseph "Rollie" Kahl; and
 
8     WHEREAS, She was a homemaker, worked at Kahl's Greenhouse,
9 and cleaned homes; and she was active in the Spanish Needle
10 Community Center; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Emily Kahl was preceded in death by her husband;
12 her daughter, Eleanor Whitlow; her sons-in-law, Grover Turner,
13 Tom Whitlow, and Jim Rosentreter; her daughter-in-law, Ruth
14 Kahl; her brothers, Henry Hampton, Harold Hampton, and Arthur
15 Hampton; and her sisters, Myra and Myrtle; and
 
16     WHEREAS, She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law,
17 William R. and Margo Kahl, Robert E. (special friend, Ruby
18 Brown) Kahl, Delbert H. and Verna Kahl, George A. and Mary
19 Kahl, Walter E. and Shirley Kahl, John and Peg Kahl, James R.
20 (special friend. Leola) Kahl, and Donald C. and Margie Kahl;
21 her daughters and sons-in-law, Alice L. Turner, Sue and Mitch

1 Bryant, Wilma Jean and John Gibson, Judy Rosentreter, and Edith
2 and Patrick Reed; her 57 grandchildren; her 118
3 great-grandchildren; her 44 great-great-grandchildren; her
4 brothers, Eldon Hampton, Charles Hampton, John Hampton, and
5 Dale Hampton: and her sisters, Mary Cook, Martha Remus,
6 Virginia McMahon, and Jane Oller; therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
8 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9 her family and friends, the passing of Emily Kahl; and be it
10 further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to the family of Emily Kahl as a symbol of our
13 sincere sympathy.
