SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 wish to express their sincere condolences to the family and
4 friends of Judith A. Haney of Herrin who passed away on Friday,
5 September 29, 2006; and
 
6     WHEREAS, She was born on November 12, 1941 in Herrin to
7 John and Marjorie (Graham) Anderson; she was united in marriage
8 to Thomas W. Haney on June 7, 1962 in Chicago; and
 
9     WHEREAS, She attended Southern Illinois University at
10 Carbondale and was a substitute teacher at Herrin Unit #4
11 Schools; and
 
12     WHEREAS, She enjoyed writing and presenting book and movie
13 reviews for various local newspapers and civic organizations;
14 she was an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic
15 Church and local civic organizations; she served as past
16 president of the Herrins Women's Club and the Herrin Library
17 Board; she was co-founder and past president of the Herrin Unit
18 #4 PTO Association; she was active in the Republican Party and
19 served as an election judge in Herrin; she was a member of
20 MUFON; and
 
21     WHEREAS, The passing ouf Judith A. Haney has been deeply
22 felt by many, especially her husband, Thomas W. Haney; her
23 daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie H. and James S. Schafer; her
24 daughter-in-law, Kimberli Haney; her grandchild, Andrea Lee
25 Haney; her sister, Joan Monbrum; and her niece, Melanie Rahlfs;
26 she was preceded in death by her parents and son, Thomas W.
27 Haney, II; therefore, be it
 
28     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
29 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
30 Judith A. Haney, and we extend our sincere condolences to her

3     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to her family as an expression of our deepest
