AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 285

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 285 as follows:

on page 1, immediately below line 5, by inserting the 
4
following:

    "Section 3. Applicability. This Act does not apply within 
6
the boundaries of a  unit of local government that has, prior to 
7
the effective date of this Act, implemented a tobacco retailer 
8
licensing ordinance and within the boundaries of a  unit of 
9
local government that,  on or after the effective date of this 
10
Act, implements a tobacco retailer licensing ordinance that is 
11
more restrictive than the provisions contained in this Act.";

and

on page 8, line 11, by replacing "$500" with "$250"; and
 
14
on page 8, line 15, by replacing "$1,000" with "$500"; and
 
15
on page 8, line 20, by replacing "$1,500" with "$1,000".
