HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives were saddened to learn of the death of former
4 Chicago Police Captain Joseph Mullin on March 5, 2004; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Captain Mullin retired in 2001; he never forgot
6 what it was like to be a police officer even though he had been
7 a captain for many years; he took an active interest in what he
8 was doing and never took his job or the people who worked for
9 him for granted; and
 
10     WHEREAS, Captain Mullin was a charismatic leader, role
11 model, and always in top physical form; he influenced many
12 lives and will not be forgotten; and
 
13     WHEREAS, The passing of former Chicago Police Captain
14 Joseph Mullin will be deeply felt by many, especially his wife
15 of 48 years, Mary Ellen; his three children, Mary Jo, Joseph,
16 and Donna; his seven grandchildren, Joseph, Kevin, Anne, Mandy,
17 Matthew, Maura, and Emma; therefore, be it
 
18     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
20 mourn the death of Joseph Mullin along with all who knew and
21 loved him and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
22 friends, and community; and be it further
 
23     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to the family of Joseph Mullin as an expression of
25 our deepest sympathy.
