1     AN ACT concerning labor.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Child Labor Law is amended by changing
5 Section 4 as follows:
 
6     (820 ILCS 205/4)  (from Ch. 48, par. 31.4)
7     Sec. 4. Meal period. No minor under sixteen (16) years of
8 age shall be employed, or permitted to work in any gainful
9 occupations mentioned in Section 1 of this Act for more than
10 five (5) hours continuously without an interval of at least
11 thirty (30) minutes for meal period, and no period of less than
12 thirty (30) minutes shall be deemed to interrupt a continuous
13 period of work.
