| AN ACT relating to telecommunications.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by changing |
| 5 |
| Section 13-204 as
follows:
|

| Sec. 13-204. Local exchange telecommunications service.
|

| "Local Exchange
Telecommunications Service" means
|
| 10 |
| telecommunications service between points within an exchange, |
| 11 |
| as defined in
Section 13-206, or the provision of |
| 12 |
| telecommunications service for the
origination or termination |
| 13 |
| of switched telecommunications services.
