SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Harold Pauli of Edwards, who passed
4away on January 26, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Harold Pauli was born to Albert and Ida Mae
6(Danz) Pauli in Tazewell County on April 14, 1934; he served in
7the U.S. Army; he married Carolyn Woolsey in Peoria on
8September 14, 1958; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Harold Pauli worked with Brauer Oil and Asphalt
10Co. for over 32 years; he farmed and raised cattle for the
11majority of his life; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Harold Pauli was a man of strong faith and a
13member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, where he served as an
14usher for many years; he was also a member of the Kickapoo
15Sportsman Club, the Peoria County Farm Bureau, the Peoria
16County Beef Improvement Association, and the Peoria County
174-H, where he served as a longtime 4-H leader; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Harold Pauli enjoyed having fun and spending time
19with his family and friends; he will be remembered for his
20outgoing personality, friendliness, and willingness to give to
21others; and

1    WHEREAS, Harold Pauli was preceded in death by his parents
2and his sister, Mary Brauer Connelly; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Harold Pauli is survived by his wife of 65 years,
4Carolyn; his children, Rod (Chris) Pauli, Randy (Nancy) Pauli,
5Ross (Connie) Pauli, and Robyn (Randall) Moeller; his
6grandchildren, Rorke Pauli, Allys Pauli, Stacy Pauli, Kiara
7Pauli, Nicole Pauli, Eleanora Moeller, and Johanna (Willis)
8Hertweck; his great-grandchild, Sophie Hertweck; his siblings,
9Richard Pauli and Ann (Russ) Jacobson; and numerous nieces and
10nephews; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Harold Pauli and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
14friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Harold Pauli as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
