SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of James "Jim" Feehan of Silvis, who
4passed away on December 22, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Feehan was born in East Moline on December
67, 1934, the child of William and Josephine (Scieszinski)
7Feehan; he graduated from United Township High School and
8enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps; he married Nancy Lee Andon
9at St. Anne Catholic Church in East Moline; and
 
10    WHEREAS, James Feehan worked for The East Moline Herald
11and retired from the John Deere Foundry; and
 
12    WHEREAS, James Feehan was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears
13and the Chicago Cubs; he enjoyed playing cards and visiting
14friends at the Little Brown Jug and the Eagles Club in Carbon
15Cliff; and
 
16    WHEREAS, James Feehan was preceded in death by his parents
17and his siblings, Bill (Dorothy) Feehan, MaryJo (Don) Ziegler,
18and Patty (John) Hornick; and
 
19    WHEREAS, James Feehan is survived by his children, James
20(Kyle) Feehan, Julie (Larry) Tate, Jana (Tom) Sabel,

1Jacqueline (Rodney) Fitch, and Joanne (Butch) Johnson; his
2grandchildren, Bill (Jennifer) Feehan, John (Marie) Feehan,
3Bryan (Heather) Feehan, Adam (Margaret Morton) Mortell, Andon
4(Will) Jacob, Kelly Titus, Ryan (Brighid) Titus, John Sabel,
5Jade Feehan, Joe (Kaylee) Floyd, Ozzie Branch, and David
6Johnson; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10James "Jim" Feehan and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of James Feehan as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
