SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Ryan
4J. Epley, formerly of Arnold, Missouri, who passed away on
5November 15, 2023; and
 
6    WHEREAS, CW2 Epley was born to Jack and Ciaran (Siecers)
7Epley in Clarksville, Tennessee on October 21, 1998; and
 
8    WHEREAS, CW2 Epley was a brilliant Black Hawk helicopter
9pilot in the U.S. Army; at the time of his passing, he was
10serving on active duty while stationed in California; and
 
11    WHEREAS, CW2 Epley loved flying helicopters and playing
12disc golf; and
 
13    WHEREAS, CW2 Epley was a wise, kind soul who loved
14unconditionally, made everyone he met feel welcome and
15comfortable, and could make anyone laugh; he will be
16remembered as a true officer and a gentleman; and
 
17    WHEREAS, CW2 Epley is survived by his parents; his
18sisters, U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Chloe Heckman and
19Brianna Heckman; his brothers, Dakota Heckman, Cazic Epley,
20and Connor Epley; his nephew, Corvin LaRose; his niece, Odessa

1LaRose; and many extended family and friends; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Ryan J. Epley and extend our
5sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
6and loved him; and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of CW2 Epley as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
