SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Bryce Lee Richardson of Havana, who
4passed away on October 30, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bryce Richardson was born to Douglas and Sheryl
6Richardson in Springfield on June 11, 1986; he was a lifelong
7resident of the Havana area; he attended New Central
8Elementary School and Havana Junior High School High before
9graduating from Havana High School in 2004; he attended Spoon
10River College; he became a father of twin girls, Brylee and
11Brystol, in 2010; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Bryce Richardson served in the U.S. Navy while
13aboard the U.S.S. Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier; he later
14worked as an over the road trucker; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Bryce Richardson enjoyed spending time with his
16daughters, his friends, Patrick, Joey, and Billy, and his dog,
17Brutus, who often accompanied him on long hauls in the semi;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Bryce Richardson was preceded in death by his
20grandfathers, Paul "Chuck" Richardson and James Lance; his
21step-grandparents, Roy and Virginia Ryder; and his beagle,

1Brutus; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Bryce Richardson is survived by his twin
3daughters, Brystol Susan and Brylee Sharon Richardson; his
4grandmothers, Sharon (Graham) Lance and Susan (Towery)
5Richardson; his parents, Sheryl Richardson and Douglas and
6Julie Richardson; his brothers, Bradley Douglas Richardson,
7Brock Andrew (Lindsay) Richardson, and Brendon Lafe (Sam)
8Ryder Richardson; his aunts, Jan Michaels, Cindy Lance, and
9Robin Hannum; his nieces, Brooklyn, Brianna, Briella, and
10Dulcie Richardson; and his nephews, Brent and Braxton
11Richardson; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Bryce Lee Richardson and extend our sincere condolences to his
15family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Bryce Richardson as an expression
19of our deepest sympathy.
