SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of David L. "Dave" Kinert of Lovington,
4who passed away on September 27, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dave Kinert was born to Mervin and Kathryn
6(Travis) Kinert in Decatur on February 7, 1958; he married
7Julie Boyd in Lovington on July 2, 1994; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Dave Kinert worked as a highway maintainer for
9the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and as a
10farmer for many years; he retired from the Lovington Fire
11Department after serving the community for several years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Dave Kinert was a member of The Passion Community
13Church in Mt. Zion; he was known as everybody's favorite
14mechanic who enjoyed NASCAR racing, National Hot Road
15Association (NHRA) drag racing, and tractor pulls; he loved
16his '69 Camaro and taking his dog, Queenie, for golf cart
17rides; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Dave Kinert was preceded in death by his parents;
19his stepmother, Mildred Kinert; and his father-in-law, Richard
20"Ike" Boyd; and

1    WHEREAS, Dave Kinert is survived by his wife, Julie
2Kinert; his children, Lauren (Craig Elder) Kinert, Wyatt
3(Amanda) Ciszkowski, and Josiah (Bailee) Kinert; his
4grandchildren, Griffin Hilton, Landon Elder, Kaitlin
5Ciszkowski, and Maddie Ciszkowski; his siblings, Jim (Jane)
6Kinert, Gail (Phil) Pignon, and Robin (Rich) Fierce; his
7mother-in-law, Rochelle Boyd; his dog, Queenie; and his
8granddogs, Rigley and Rowdy; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11David L. "Dave" Kinert and extend our sincere condolences to
12his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Dave Kinert as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
