SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Frank Peter Albanese of Springfield,
4who passed away on March 6, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Albanese was born to Peter and Paula
6Albanese in Springfield on October 8, 1965; he attended Little
7Flower Grade School and graduated from Griffin High School in
81983; he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Finance
9from DePaul University in Chicago in 1988, where he was a
10member of the Debate Team; over the years, he also completed
11various continuing education courses from Cornell University's
12Hospitality Management program; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Frank Albanese's passion was the stock market,
14working in the markets for over 30 years; he began his career
15working for the Mercantile Exchange in Chicago, and he
16subsequently worked as a broker for such firms as Merrill
17Lynch and Lehman Brothers; after returning to Springfield, he
18worked for the Albanese Development Corporation and founded
19the ATIA Wealth Management Group, which provides investment
20advisory services; he completed his career as the principal
21and chief investment officer of ATIA; he held the series 7, 24,
2263, and 66 securities licenses, and he was also a licensed
23insurance agent; he also continued his side project,

1hotelbrokers.com, an online portal to match buyers and sellers
2of hotels worldwide, a project dedicated to the memory of his
3father; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Frank Albanese enjoyed cycling, traveling, scuba
5diving, adventure sports, and spending time with his friends
6and family, usually over a gourmet meal; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Frank Albanese was known as a man of strong
8faith; he will be remembered for his fun-loving personality,
9spontaneity, sense of humor, generosity, and adventurous
10spirit; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Frank Albanese was preceded in death by his
12father, Peter Albanese; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Frank Albanese is survived by his mother, Paula
14Albanese; his brother, Dennis (Sarah) Albanese, and his
15brother's children, Christopher, Michael, and Jillian; his
16sister, Lily (Michael) Layden; his brother, Peter A. Albanese;
17his several aunts, uncles, and cousins in both the United
18States and Sicily; and his many friends; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
21Frank Peter Albanese and extend our sincere condolences to his

3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4presented to the family of Frank Albanese as an expression of
