AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3182

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3182 on page 1,
3line 10, by replacing "mother of her" with "patient of the
4mother of her"; and
 
5on page 1, lines 15 and 22, by replacing "mother" with "patient
6mother"; and
 
7on page 2, line 10, after "develop", by inserting "language
8on"; and
 
9on page 2, by replacing lines 12 through 19 with "gestational
10parent. This section of language shall be known as a "Liam's
11Law notice". The "Liam's Law notice" shall be available in
12both English and Spanish."; and
 
13on page 3, line 2, by replacing "mother" with "patient
14mother"; and

1on page 5, by replacing lines 2 through 12 with the following:
2    "(b) After each fetal death that occurs in this State
3after a gestation period of at least 20 completed weeks, the
4State Registrar of Vital Records shall, only upon request by a
5parent named on the fetal death certificate, prepare and issue
6a certificate of birth resulting in stillbirth. After each
7fetal death that occurs in this State after a gestation period
8of at least 26 completed weeks, the person who files a fetal
9death certificate in connection with that death as required
10under Section 20 shall, only upon request by the woman who
11delivered the stillborn fetus, also prepare a certificate of
12stillbirth. The person shall prepare the certificate on the
13form prescribed and furnished by the State Registrar and in
14accordance with the rules adopted by the State Registrar.";
15and
 
16on page 5, line 17, by replacing "forms" with "language"; and
 
17on page 5, line 18, by replacing "form" with "language"; and
 
18on page 6, lines 18 and 19, by replacing "upon becoming law"
19with "July 1, 2025".
