| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Underground Railroad Task Force |
| 5 | | Act is amended by changing Section 15 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (20 ILCS 4125/15) |
| 7 | | (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2025) |
| 8 | | Sec. 15. Meetings, report. |
| 9 | | (a) The Task Force shall meet at least 3 times with the |
| 10 | | first meeting occurring within 60 days after the effective |
| 11 | | date of this Act. |
| 12 | | (b) The Task Force shall review available research, |
| 13 | | existing infrastructure and projects, best practices, and |
| 14 | | effective interventions to formulate recommendations. |
| 15 | | (c) The Task Force shall prepare a report detailing the |
| 16 | | Task Force's findings and recommendations and needed |
| 17 | | resources. The Task Force shall submit a report of its |
| 18 | | findings and recommendations to the General Assembly and the |
| 19 | | Governor on or before December 31 July 1, 2024. |
