AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1779

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1779, AS AMENDED,
3with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No.
41, on page 7, line 13, before "Violations", by inserting "The
5Department may take disciplinary action against a medication
6aide, including, but not limited to, suspension or revocation
7of the medication aide's certification, for gross
8negligence."; and
 
9on page 7, immediately below line 19, by inserting the
10following:
11    "(u) To ensure transparency and the well-being of
12residents, a facility is required to provide information about
13medication administration via certified medication aides in
14its admission agreements so that residents and their families
15understand the addition of certified medication aides as
16members of the healthcare team."; and
