AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1665

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1665 on page 5, by
3replacing lines 12 through 15 with the following:
4        "(5) In determining eligibility under this Act, a
5    hospital subject to this Act shall exclude from
6    consideration any unconditional cash transfers, payments,
7    or gifts received under a guaranteed income program if:
8            (A) such cash transfers, payments, or gifts are
9        excluded from consideration for determining
10        eligibility under public health insurance programs
11        administered by the State in which the State has the
12        authority to waive guaranteed income; and
13            (B) the guaranteed income program is a program for
14        a defined number of months or years designed to reduce
15        poverty, promote social mobility, or increase
16        financial stability for program participants and if
17        there is an explicit plan to collect data.

2on page 8, line 4, after "the State Children's Health
3Insurance Program," by inserting "the Health Benefits for
4Immigrants program,"; and
 
5on page 9, on lines 2 through 6, by deleting "Household income
6received through participation in a guaranteed income program
7shall not be considered income for the purposes of reviewing
8eligibility for financial assistance.".
