AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2948




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2948 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
 
4    "Section 5. The Department of Professional Regulation Law 
5of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended  by 
6adding Section 2105-405 as follows:
 
7    (20 ILCS 2105/2105-405 new)
8    Sec. 2105-405. Licensing liaison for international 
9applicants.
10    (a) The Division of Professional Regulation shall employ 
11one full-time employee as the licensing liaison for 
12international applicants. The licensing liaison shall assist 
13international applicants in answering questions and providing 
14information regarding the foreign education requirements for 
15licenses administered by the Division of Professional 
16Regulation.

1    (b) The additional duties of the licensing liaison shall 
2include, but not be limited to: (i) coordinating with 
3personnel of the Department in processing applications from 
4international applicants and  (ii) providing education and 
5information resources to community organizations that assist 
6international applicants.".
