SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
820 ILCS 5/1  from Ch. 48, par. 2a

    Amends the Labor Dispute Act. Provides that no award of monetary damages, except for damage done to an employer's property as a result of conduct prohibited by law, shall be granted by any court of this State in any case involving a labor dispute.

1    AN ACT concerning employment.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Labor Dispute Act is amended by changing
5Section 1 and by adding Section 1.4a as follows:
 
6    (820 ILCS 5/1)  (from Ch. 48, par. 2a)
7    Sec. 1. No restraining order, award of monetary damages,
8except for damage done to an employer's property as a result of
9conduct prohibited by law, or injunction shall be granted by
10any court of this State in any case involving or growing out of
11a dispute concerning terms or conditions of employment,
12enjoining or restraining any person or persons, either singly
13or in concert, from terminating any relation of employment or
14from ceasing to perform any work or labor, or from peaceably
15and without threats or intimidation recommending, advising, or
16persuading others so to do; or from peaceably and without
17threats or intimidation being upon any public street, or
18thoroughfare or highway for the purpose of obtaining or
19communicating information, or to peaceably and without threats
20or intimidation persuade any person or persons to work or to
21abstain from working, or to employ or to peaceably and without
22threats or intimidation cease to employ any party to a labor
23dispute, or to recommend, advise, or persuade others so to do.
