AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2457 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2457 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
4    "Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended  by changing 
5Section 30-30 as follows:
 



6    (35 ILCS 200/30-30)



7    Sec. 30-30. Fiscal Responsibility Report Card. The 
8corporate authority of
each taxing district, other than a 
9school district, that imposes ad valorem
taxes, within 180 
10days of the conclusion of the fiscal year of the taxing

11district, shall submit to  the State Comptroller and the county 
12clerk of
each county in which a part of the taxing district is 
13located a Fiscal
Responsibility Report Card in the form 
14prescribed by the State Comptroller
after consultation with 
15other State Constitutional  officers as the State
Comptroller 
16selects. The Fiscal Responsibility Report Card shall inform

1taxpayers about the amounts, sources, and uses of  tax revenues 
2received and
expended by the taxing district.

3    Beginning with the Fiscal Responsibility Report Card due 
4for fiscal year 2024, each Fiscal Responsibility Report Card 
5shall include a separate Section setting forth the data 
6compiled under Section 18-50.2 of this Code. The Comptroller 
7shall adopt rules governing the form and manner in which the 
8data is submitted to the Comptroller.
