1    AN ACT concerning civil law.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Adjutant General, on behalf of the State of
5Illinois and the Department of Military Affairs, is authorized
6to convey by Quitclaim Deed all right, title, and interest of
7the State of Illinois and the Department of Military Affairs
8in and to the real estate described in Section 10 to the City
9of Lawrenceville, subject to the conditions and restriction
10described in Section 15.
 
11    Section 10. The Adjutant General is authorized to convey
12the following described real property:
 
13    A part of Hennessy's Porter Avenue Addition to
14Lawrenceville, Illinois as recorded in Plat Book 1, page 92,
15Lawrence County, Illinois, and described as follows:
 
16    Commencing at a point of beginning, an iron pin, at the
17    Southeast Corner of Lot 22 of said Addition; thence North
18    89° 55' 24" West along the South line of Lot 22 a distance
19    of 125 feet to an iron pin, at the Southwest corner of Lot
20    22; thence North 38° 22' 36" West a distance of 143.98 feet
21    to an iron pin at the most Southerly Corner of Lot 16;

1    thence North 44° 17' 30" West along the Southwesterly line
2    of Lot 16 a distance of 125 feet to an iron pin at the most
3    Westerly corner of Lot 16; thence North 45° 37' 54" East
4    along the Northwesterly lines of Lots 16, 17, 18 and 19 a
5    distance of 225 feet to an iron pin; thence continuing
6    North 45° 37' 54" East a distance of 17 feet to the most
7    Northerly Corner of Lot 19; thence South 44° 17' 30" East
8    along the Northeasterly line of Lots 19 and 42 a distance
9    of 184.23 feet to a point at the Northeasterly Corner of
10    Lot 42; thence South 0° 00' 00" West along the East line of
11    Lot 42 a distance of 24.34 feet to an iron pin; thence
12    continuing South 0° 00' 00" West a distance of 215.6 feet
13    to the point of beginning.
 
 
14    Section 15. The Adjutant General shall not convey the real
15property described in Section 10 to the City of Lawrenceville
16until the Adjutant General determines that the property is no
17longer required for military purposes. Conveyance of the above
18real property will be in an "as is" condition, and the City of
19Lawrenceville will pay all required costs and expenses for the
20conveyance, as determined by the Adjutant General. The
21Quitclaim Deed shall state on its face and be subject to the
22condition that if the property is no longer used for public
23purpose, then title shall revert without further action to the
24State of Illinois.

1    Section 20. The Adjutant General shall obtain a certified
2copy of this Act from the Secretary of State within 60 days
3after its effective date and, upon the conveyance of the real
4estate described in Section 10 being made, shall cause the
5certified copy of this Act to be recorded in the office of the
6Recorder of Lawrence County, Illinois.
 
7    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
8becoming law.
