Appropriates the amount of $679,500 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for a grant to Connections for Abused Women and their Children. Effective July 1, 2024.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $679,500, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for a grant to Connections for Abused Women and their Children for the purpose of constructing space to allow victims of domestic violence to seek online job counseling and find opportunities for employment to ensure continued stability and sustainability for themselves and their children. Moneys appropriated under this Section may be used for the acquisition, buildout, furnishing, and technology for 10 computer workstations, 2 printers, and audio-visual capabilities.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2024.
