SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Rosemary Nash, who passed away on
4December 1, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rosemary Nash was born in Springfield to Margie
6L. Douglas on December 8, 1951; she graduated from Lanphier
7High School in 1970; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Rosemary Nash retired from Franklin Life
9Insurance, presently known as AIG, after more than 30 years of
10service; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Rosemary Nash was a dedicated member of Union
12Baptist Church, where she served as church clerk and
13administrative assistant for 15 years; she was a faithful
14member and servant of the Culinary Ministry, the Music & Fine
15Arts Ministry, where she sang with the Women's Choir, the Vera
16P. Shoultz Circle, and the Overall Missionary; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Rosemary Nash was a generous person with a
18beautiful smile and one you could always count on for almost
19anything; she would make room anytime if you needed a place to
20stay; she enjoyed traveling and was famous for making
21delicious baked beans; she was a loving mother, grandmother

1"Grammy" "G-mom", aunt, cousin, sister, and friend; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Rosemary Nash was preceded in death by her
3husband, Derek; her mother, Margie Douglas; and her brother,
4Victor Hale; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rosemary Nash is survived by her daughters, Dr.
6Nicole (Jacson) Moody and Raquel (Michael) Caldwell; her
7sister, Alicia K. Robinson; her mother-in-law, Aletha C. Nash;
8her niece, Candace Silas (LaCrea, Calia, and Gerald); her
9niece, Charlena (Fred and Jada) Jackson; her nephew, Ryan
10(Keshia, Raighan, and Benjamin) Robinson; her grandchildren,
11Audreyana Brown-Nash, Destini, Brandon James, Jaden, Jacee,
12Jacob, and Joshua Moody, and Michael Caldwell Jr.; her special
13friend, Geno Collins; and numerous family, friends, and loved
14ones who will all hold precious memories of her in their
15hearts; therefore, be it
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
18Rosemary Nash and extend our sincere condolences to her
19family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
20further
 
21    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22presented to the family of Rosemary Nash as an expression of
