SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Harry Edward Clow Sr., who passed away
4on November 19, 2020 at the age of 78; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Harry Clow Sr. grew up in Oak Park, Illinois; he
6also spent a great deal of his youth on his family's farm in
7Loyal, Wisconsin; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Harry Clow Sr. proudly earned the titles of Eagle
9Scout and Sea Scout; he graduated from Oak Park and River
10Forest High School in 1961; and
 
11    WHEREAS, After completing his postsecondary studies at
12Wright College, Harry Clow Sr. began a career in accounting;
13he spent most of his career with the Forest Preserves; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Harry Clow Sr. was an all-around handyman and,
15while not a member of the Catholic Church, was a regular
16attendee of Catholic celebrations for his family members; and
 
17    WHEREAS, During the final years of his life, Harry Clow
18Sr. was a ticket seller for the Chicago Cubs; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Harry Clow Sr. was preceded in death by his wife

1and best friend, Sally (Schaefer) Crow; his parents, George
2and Eva; and his brothers, John and George III; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Harry Clow Sr. is survived by his children, Harry
4Jr. (Maura Harding), Colleen, Kevin (Jennifer Cote),
5Gabrielle, and Keldra (Mike) Rabichow, and his grandchildren,
6Peter, Michaela, Harry III, Maeve, Richard, Sally, Anna,
7Betsy, and George Clow, Schaefer and Grace Estrada, Michael
8and Madeline Rabichow, and Alice Olsen; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Harry Edward Clow Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to
12his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Harry Edward Clow Sr. as an
16expression of our deepest sympathy.
