SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Scott Schoeller, who passed away on
4July 24, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Scott Schoeller grew up in Skokie, where he
6attended Cleveland Elementary School, Oakview Middle School,
7and Niles East High School; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Scott Schoeller was a 40-year member of the
9Skokie Chamber of Commerce, most recently serving as board
10chair; he started Contour Landscaping in his neighbor's garage
11in 1976, growing his company into a thriving business in
12Skokie's downtown; he also served as president of the Illinois
13Professional Lawn Care Association and as a certified arborist
14of the International Society of Arboriculture; and
 
15    WHEREAS, In addition to his service to businesses in the
16landscaping industry, Scott Schoeller devoted his time as an
17instructor for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and as an
18introduction leader for Landmark Education, a personal and
19professional development company; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Scott Schoeller is survived by his wife, Mary;
21his son, Ben; and his daughter, Heidi; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Scott Schoeller and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Scott Schoeller as an expression of
8our deepest sympathy.
