SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Harold C. Ridnour of Milan, who passed
4away on November 13, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Harold Ridnour was born to Claude and Letha
6(Shock) Ridnour in Creston, Iowa on September 29, 1933; he
7served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War; he married
8Barbara Irish in Toledo, Iowa on December 4, 1955; and
 
9    WHEREAS, In his younger years, Harold Ridnour and his
10father owned and operated Ridnour Electric in Creston; he then
11moved to Milan where he worked for Caterpillar until
12retirement, when he started a business called HESS Electrical;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Harold Ridnour enjoyed reading, listening to
15music, woodworking, and collecting antique model cars; along
16with his wife, he loved doing genealogy, arranging family
17reunions, and traveling to see distant relatives; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Harold Ridnour was preceded in death by his
19parents; his son, Eric Scott Ridnour; and his sisters, Donna
20Ridnour and Sharon (Ed) Pinske; and

1    WHEREAS, Harold Ridnour is survived by his wife, Barbara;
2his daughters, Lisa Ridnour and Ann (David) Mangelsdorf; his
3grandchildren, Shawn (Amanda) Ridnour, Kelli Ridnour, Amanda
4(Tyler Engholm) Van Watermeulen, Christi (Quinton)
5Mangelsdorf-Helgason, and Aletha (James) Gauley; his
6great-grandchildren, Samantha, Isela, Wyatt, Madie, and
7Christopher Ridnour and Alyahna Gauley; his
8great-great-granddaughter, Charlie Ridnour; and his brother,
9Robert Ridnour; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Harold C. Ridnour and extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Harold Ridnour as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
